There are many factors that affect the ranking of a website, in which Link Building gets higher value “that fetches outstanding results to a website - if these (backlinks) are created strategically”. Traditionally link building is performed by giving links to external sites that inturn links back to our website. These are called reciprocal links which attract new users to the websites, along with Search Engine crawlers. This way of Link Building also has the potential to influence the website page rank positively.
Ensuring that all the links we get to our website are quality and will be able to give us benefits is time consuming (labor intensive) but its benefits justify all the efforts that go into the process “i.e. high ranking in search engines”.
Below are some points (quality parameters) which if followed adequately would be able to bring the maximum benefits of one way links to a website:
1) To make sure that links for the website are hyperlinked through relevant “keywords”.
2) Developing one way links from industry related pages gives higher benefits.
3) If a link page has java script, frames, flash, redirect script….the benefits are not significant.
4) It should be kept in mind that site where we get a link from is not a link farm, FFA link network and pornographic.
5) Not to get involved in paid/time-bound links.
6) If there are links from pages that have “Robots Tag excluded”, it means that page will not be indexed by search engines and hence there would not be any significant benefit of such link.
7) If a link page has less outbound links, it will be able to give us more link benefits.
8) Getting link from “nofollow” pages, is not beneficial (as these will not get indexed by Search Engines).
It is very important to make sure all the one way link building efforts are made in right direction, and are not going in vain. Be sure about the quality of links that you’ve generated. Following above mentioned points while creating back links would ensure that your website gets the link benefits.
